If for early childhood of kids, this works, but when they become a lot more active, this type of strap especially the buckle part and the stick in between, they can easily get broken when kids are more active. The original strap's buckle broke about 2 yrs having this and I've bought 2 straps from that time and now we'll be using the 2nd of these 2 extra straps we bought as the 1st strap's stick (in its buckle) broke this time aftr almost 2 yrs. I would suggest giving a chance for those with the r1s variant (or all the watchphones) the velcro or like the "fabric" type, or like the ones with wider and sturdier buckle sticks for a sturdier which makes the strap go a long way.
The initial strap broke after 2 days. The charging port for the watch broke shortly after the strap. I could only purchase the strap from the US store which cost a fortune for delivery & customs! Not a happy customer
